Nees Avenue
The speed on Nees Avenue drops to 40 mph only between First & Fresno streets. The road is a 2 lane (both directions) divided street with a frontage road adjacent, classified as an arterial roadway. The rest of the road in both directions 45 mph, and the local PD sit obscured on the frontage road waiting for motorist traveling at a Consistent speed to fall into the speed trap. There is no existing condition that differentiates this section of the road from the rest, just a good place to Generate Revenue.
Fowler Avenue
Right across the street from Fancher Creek Elementary, one, sometimes two motorcycle cops sit on the shoulder and catch people during the school drop off time – it’s a school zone, 25 mph speed limit. especially high enforcement at start of school year
Sierra Road
Motorcycle cop, on Sierra between Maroa and Blackstone. Hides on a side street, in a 35MPH zone.
Herdon Expressway
First & Herdon. Motor unit sits in bank driveway on First, north of Herdon (second driveway).
Maroa Ave.
At Maroa Ave., south of Sierra Ave., the speed limit drops from 40 to 35mph. Heavily patrolled by both FPD and Sheriffs as you approach Shaw Ave.
