Sunset Boulevard near North Sierra Drive
In this speed trap usually 1-2 West Hollywood traffic cops on motorcycles hide in the alley of the Luckman Plaza building constantly radaring motorists going eastbound on Sunset Blvd. I estimate that this speed trap has been going on for about a year as I observe it every week from my office across the street. The traffic cops are there usually 2-3 days a week, and when they are there, they are constantly giving speeding tickets. I’m not sure how this works legally since the speed they are obtaining is of motorists when they are in Beverly Hills City limits and the cops are positioned in West Hollywood, right after the border. Their location is almost exactly across from the Joss restaruant in my building. Today, for example, from 10:00 to 10:30 AM I’ve seen 3 motorists pulled over by these cops.
