Laguna Beach, California Speed Traps
Cops hide on side road which leads to beach parking, or sometimes the M/C guys will hide behind the sign for Aliso Creek Lodge
South of Crown Valley, officer hides behind construction fence on North side by Golf course. There is a cutout in the screening to allow him the radar shot at northbound on "PCH
Northbound traffic is targeted by motorcycle officers who hide behind the wall and shrubs just north of the creek bed. The speed limit is 40mph, but with the long downhill run from South Laguna to the bottom of the hill, it is very easy to go 45-50 mph without realizing it. Be VERY careful!
Speed trap is just after city limits entrance from the north. Speed limit reduction from 60 down to 45 mph. Motorcycle cop with radar on coast side of PCH in a shady driveway targeting southbound traffic.
In vicinity of Thurston Middle School. Artificially low 35-MPH speed limit going downhill, and on quite a wide avenue.
With increasing crime rate in Laguna, this car-cop has nothing better to do than sit on the spacious avenue with his radar, to coerce you into driving really slow.
BEWARE–he’s in a car, and I thought he was on patrol doing something OTHER than traffic enforcement! But he’s issuing gratuitous speeding tickets instead.
