Cop hiding between buildings at intersection

On Day Street between Cottonwood and Allessandro

Moreno Valley, CaliforniaOct 12, 20140 Comments

As you are heading down Day St., toward Allessandro, the speed limit is 35. Right after the stop light at Cottonwood, it turns into 25. There is a sign that reads your speed and says slow down. I was stopped at the light at Cottonwood. When the light turned green a large pickup truck behind me started honking his horn because I did not accellerate fast enough for him. I accelerated harder than usual then saw the speed sign saying slow down. Seeing that my speed had gone up to 26, I took my foot off the accelerator at the same time i saw a motorcycle cop ahead of me parked in a driveway. He turned on his flashing lights immediately, still few feet ahead of me and still in the driveway. Once i passed the driveway he turned into the street behind me and pulled me over.

Residential street posted @ 25MPH…. cops like to give out tickets to people going down hill.

Speed Limit Signs are posted near Allesandro and near Cottonwood – a mile apart.

Fredrick St. & Centerpoint Dr.

Moreno Valley, CaliforniaJul 11, 20110 Comments

Motorcycle Cop positioned at the streetlight intersection on Centerpoint Dr. using radar on west bound traffic. Fredrick St. is a 40 mph. Centerpoint Dr. is listed 25 mph. The speed limit is not clearly visible making right hand turns and is only posted once at the end of the street in both directions. The MC is using a very short distance, rounding this snaking street, to determine speeding with on coming traffic in a few seconds. Very easy to over accelerate when driving at a normal pace.
