Morgan Hill, California Speed Traps
101 North to Santa Clara
From Morgan Hill on the 101, north to Santa Clara, the CHP has really picked it up. It is like the autobahn through there, and I guess the CHP has had enough.
Hwy. 101 and Baily Ave.
There is often a Highway Patrol sitting at the entrance to the on-ramp on either the north or southbound lanes. They also hang out on the overpass with a radar gun.
NB Monterey, under the train tracks just before Cochrane Rd.
I was on NB on Monterey, where the street dips just before getting to where Starbucks and Am/Pm are and Morgan Hill PD was there with a motorcycle and car with the radar gun to catch you picked up speed from going down the hill! They were located on the right side, waiting!
Inside City of Morgan Hill City Limits
This officer is everywhere at every time. He is the tall, dark haired, thin mustached, motorcycle cop with the Chesire Cat grin. He grins because you are his next victim. Like a spider patiently waiting in his web, you are just easy prey. There will be no rolling stops or illegal U-turns in his town, oh no, not on his watch. His career mission is to single-handedly subjugate every motorist one by one until his town is chastened of all traffic violations. Beware and good luck on your next journey through friendly downtown Morgan Hill.
West Corner of East Dunne Ave. and Condit Rd.
A stop sign trap. Police hide near the Taco Bell and ticket drivers for bike lane violatations. The police seem to hang out there from 7am-9am
