Jurupa St./Ave. – East of S. Haven Ave.

Ontario, CaliforniaMar 27, 20100 Comments

If you are headed east on Jurupa St./Ave. watch your speed as you go under the bridge that connects UPS’s truck terminal to their airfield. A motorcop and even patrol cars will sit just after the driveway on your right, after the bridge. The driveway is the entrance to the UPS airfield. As Jurupa’s lanes merge from two to one a cop or even two will sit with radar guns drawn. Police are watching for people passing semi’s or who are aggressive about making it around other people before the road becomes a single lane. This trap comes in waves… police will be present for a few weeks in a row, then nothing for months.

South on Haven (over the 60 Fwy bridge) to Riverside Drive the speed limit is 40 mph. However when heading south from the bridge, a car or truck will tend to pick up speed. Every once in a while, there will be an officer at the bottom of the hill, right next to the block wall.
