Grand Junction, Colorado Speed Traps
law enforcement will sit in cald-i-sac and shoot the radar at both 29 and D1/2 roads, speed limit is 30 mph on this 5 lane road
Cops occasionally patrol this road. Going up “Question-mark hill” cops often sit around the corner and you can’t see them until it’s too late. Going down “question-mark hill” the speed limit stays at 45 and then later increases to 55. This road is often patrolled by cops during the school year. Student’s running late to school will often do 80 on this road. There will be a few weeks where there is a cop, and then a few weeks where there isn’t a cop; thus people get used to speeding and then get caught.
They hide behind the sign and catch the East bound traffic.
What the heck is a "Speed Trap". If your speeding you are speeding. Cops don’t have their foot on your gas petal.
This is a school zone. From September through May, they sit on the side streets three times a day. Be careful in this area!
