Lone Tree, ColoradoApr 05, 20070 Comments

Going East on Park Meadows Drive (35 MPH posted) and Making turn going North on Acres Green (25 MPH posted) just under C-470 there are a motorcycle unit and a cruiser waiting. The officer stands on the corner (with radar) and steps in the middle of the street and motions you to stop and pull over to the side. While he writes up a ticket, the other officer is clocking other drivers. A hefty fine.

Lincoln Avenue near I-25 to Parker

Lone Tree, ColoradoFeb 22, 20070 Comments

Douglas County sheriff cars, Lone Tree PD, Parker PD and State Patrol are found on Lincoln Ave–a split-median high-traffic road with two lanes each direction from I-25 to Parker Rd (6+ miles). Unmarked cars, SUVs and white panel trucks, in addition to marked vehicles. Douglas County works Lincoln fairly heavily in the predawn hours, parking lights off in the median between Chambers and Peoria or just north of the insection of Lincoln and Oswego. The speed limit is posted 45 in Parker, changes to 50 at Chambers Rd, back to 45 in Lone Tree, then back to 50 as you approach I-25. East of Jordan Rd, Parker PD is particularly active, using side streets and commercial buildings as cover. Drivers are usually 5-10 over the limit over the six mile run. More than 5 without a decoy in front is asking for a hit.
