Eastbound 285 Before entering Englewood

Sheridan, ColoradoApr 23, 20180 Comments

There is normally a police car with his lights completely off waiting near the South Platte River/Santa Fe bridge before you cross into Englewood, Seen him regularly between the hours of 4pm-4am. As the speed limit goes down from 55 to 45 rather quickly, then 35 once you get into Englewood. If you are pulled over be sure to let them know your dash cam is on recording or the judge will try to give you an extra fine. As well as making sure the correct speed limit is on the ticket. If you pull over in Englewood, they will try to make it the 35 zone and not the 45 zone.

Federal Blvd. between Radcliff and Oxford

Photo Radar van has been posted for weeks on Federal northbound just as you crest the hill. They are supposed to have a sign that says photo radar in use but they never have it out. It does not seem to matter if school has already been in session for a while. They still count it as a school zone violation. I know multiple people who have tried to fight it in court with school times and photos of the van without the signs to no avail.

I received a violation for a school zone. No flashing light indicating that it is a school zone and the speed limit should be 20 mph.

School zone of 20 mph, but the school zone has no flashing light and the warning sign is just a few feet behind the van. If it was a safety issue the school zone would have a flashing light, but of course then the revenue for the city would be less and the objective would not be meet.

West bound on W Hampden between S Federal and S Sheridan.

Sheridan, ColoradoJan 30, 20110 Comments

Because of large, separate construction zones with various lower speeds, west bound on W Hampden between S Federal and S Sheridan there is usually a white speed photo minivan for "end of work" traffic, anywhere between 3 to 6:30pm.

Finally, east bound on W Hampden, "morning traffic" between 6 to 10:30am, there is usually a grey speed photo minivan.
