Westminster LEOs sit in the West parking lot of the Front Range Community College library. They are usually pretty far back from the street, so you can’t spot them until they are in range to tag you.

112th Ave between Federal and Sheridan, both eastbound and westbound. Westminster PD uses both ends of the FRCC parking lot with motorcycles and patrol cars with radar.

Westminster Boulevard near 94th Avenue

Westminster, ColoradoJul 02, 20070 Comments

Motorcycle riders park off 94th and stand on the sidewalk. VERY difficult to see. Checking people in the school zone. ALSO – beware on N Pierce street between Westcliff and W 95th. Riders also checking from the sidewalk in the school zones. For that matter – Westminster’s finest really don’t have much to do – SO – beware in ANY school zone in the city.

100th Avenue near N. Simms Street

Westminster, ColoradoJul 02, 20070 Comments

People coming South on Simms to where it takes a left onto 100th Ave. 2 Motorcycles gunning people as they come down Simms – basically at the entrance to Standley Lake. In 15 minutes they were never NOT giving out a ticket. Evening rush hour…when you come over that last hill on Simms – make sure you’re doing the speed limit.

US Highway 36 near Federal Boulevard

Westminster, ColoradoJun 07, 20070 Comments

Traveling East (South) on US 36 the road bends to the left you come over the hill and they are hiding under the Federal Blvd. overpass in the shade there. Sometimes an unmarked car, sometimes a state trooper and sometimes a bunch of motercycle cops! I am always very careful to watch for them in that stretch before I do my normal 5 or 10 over for the highway. The posted limit is 55 there. I bet have seen a trap there over 100 times in the past several years.
