Westminster, Colorado Speed Traps

While driving South on Wadsworth Parkway police motorcycle or vehicles will hide on right side of roadway at intersection with 104th Ave or behind electrical boxes 1/4 mile after intersection with 104th. Speed drops from 55 to 45 through this area and the police can target you from far away due to a hill where they sit.

Westminster Police cars catch West bound cars coming down the hill once they pass the overpass of US Rt 36 all the way down to Sheridan. It’s a 4 lane street with a limit way too low for that particular section. It’s a big money maker for the city of Westminster.

Motorcycle(mostly) and Cruiser (occasionally) parked in private drive at top of hill just east of Legacy on south side of the street. At other times in the side streets both north and south between Sheridan Blvd and Lowell Blvd.

Officers like to park on side-streets and stand on the sidewalk. Very hard to see them. Speed limit is 25 and is pretty hard to maintain going down the hill.

Cops sits on southside of the road in a driveway before Legacy Ridge, Can also be in Firehouse parking Lot or across the street from the firehouse.
