Unmarked trooper black SUV parks in yards at bottom of hill from New London Rd/ Rt 896 to catch people at 25 mph sped change
Intermittent speed trap. Usually police park behind tees near Fox Lane to catch downhill traffic. Speed limit is posted at 25 mph at top of hill when you turn in from New London Rd. Trap has been there various times the past 6 weeks.
Casho Mill Rd is a well-used shortcut on the west side of Newark between Route 273 and Elkton Rd. It is signed for only 30MPH because of the residential area it runs though.
Newark PD will sit a car just over the hill past the elementary school, catching drivers headed toward Rt 273. Most active in summer months.
I see a cop a couple times a week, as I go down the ramp from Hwy 273 on to I-95 south. He sits under the overpass catching people speeding excessively on I-95 south. Most use the lightly marked SUV’s instead of the regular patrol car.
