Clearwater, Florida Speed Traps
Nursery Road
2-3 Motorcycle officers sit at the entrance to a church parking lot (behind the bushes) on Nursery Rd between Belcher & US 19 and use radar guns to catch speeders and have them pull into the parking lot where tickets are issued. Speed limit is 35 MPH on this street but I’ve seen people go as fast as 50-60 MPH down the road (which is a residential area).
118th Street
On the overpass right before US 19 I commonly see unmarked cars, with dark tinted windows and hazard lights on. There is a cop sitting there clocking people who then radios to the police cars at the intersection on US 19 and 118th. Its also common for cops to sit in the median and clock people, both marked cars and unmarked.
State Route 60 near Before the Bayside Bridge
Headed West comming off the bridge the speed limit drops from 65 to 45. It was 5:15am and this cop was sitting in the gas station just waiting for me. After that, I saw hime there on a regular basis at all times of the day. I have also seen a bunch of construction workers out on the bridge with a bucket truck shooting Laser in the middle of the Causway from about 35 feet in the air.

Officer stations himself on the northbound on-ramp to McMullen-Booth Road from S.R.60 out of sight and zaps northbound motorists coming off the Bayside Bridge (Bridge speed limit 55 to unrealistic 45 about 200 yeards before the end of the bridge).

McMullen Booth Road near State Route 60
Florida Highway Patrol motor cycle sits southbound just south of the hump on the Bayside Bridge. If you come over the crest at 70+ mph and he is there, it’s too late. Just pay the ticket._
