US Highway 19 near East Bay Drive

Clearwater, FloridaJan 04, 20080 Comments

Normally, the cops hide just south of the East-bay overpass, this occurs at least once a week. I have found that even if you are pushing 80 coming up the overpass, upon coasting the last bit over the bridge, you will decelerate to the speed limit; this in fact, applies to all bridges. I will later post a landmark as to where the optimum slowing point is on the bridge. But do beware, it is Clearwater P.D. on the north side of the overpass chain that hides just north of the last overpass; near the Harley shop. Largo posts up on the south side; in between the 19 and 66 merger. Usually Largo is out enforce._

Keene Road near Union Avenue

Clearwater, FloridaDec 11, 20070 Comments

Cruiser sitting in the median facing southbound just north of the light at Union and Keene. Very short yellow light cycle. Very wide open road with a 40mph limit/ They either get you on the short yellow, or anything over 45mph. I have been doing 40, and had someone pass me at *maybe* 45, and they got pulled. Have witnessed the light turn yellow as a car is less than a car length from the intersection and watched them get pulled as they went through.
