They have portable radar systems that show your speed. They will set up the unit and then position themselves around the unit after you have gotten used to it in a particular area. They frequently move and use same tactic all the time.

As you pass into Lee county on highway 41 going south, speed limit drops from 65mph to 55mph. Almost every am multiple vehicles are used for radar trap including undercover cars. Although speed limit is reasonable most do not see the drop in speed sign

Deputies use 2-3 motorcycles and at least one unmarked car during the “hunt””. They shoot radar facing north from under the large shade tree at the southwest corner of the intersection. They are usually shooting south bound traffic.
