Panama City, Florida Speed Traps
N. Lisenby Avenue near Railroad Crossing
Trap is positioned on right side of N. Lisenby Ave to monitor northbound traffic.(PC Police Dept.)They are in the parking lot of an old convenience store converted to a church, 1 block south of 23rd St.(Tommy Thomas Chevrolet). The parking lot is lower than Liseby Ave.and makes them extremely hard to visually detect. The limit is posted @ 35 mph….seems very slow for this section of road.
State Avenue near North of 23rd Street
Speed limit 30 mph unlike Jenks Ave. City Police with radar.
Very strict on the speed limit.

US Highway 98 near Hathaway Bridge
East-bound traffic coming off the Hathway Bridge can pretty much count on seeing either a state trooper or city police car (they share). The roadway takes a steep downward turn as you leave the bridge and it is very easy to exceed the limit and not see the cop.

State Highway 231 near State Route 20
Troopers hide along the roadway and use radar to establish speed. Area is designated 45 mph which is unrealistic for the area. This is about 4 miles north of the intersection of Hwy 20 and US 231.
