Pembroke Pines, Florida Speed Traps
Douglas Road
Two Pembroke Pines city police officers set up with radar, pulling everyone over who are going above the 35 MPH speed limit. They do this a week before the end of the month and a few days into the next month like clockwork.
Don’t blame the police, they don’t to be out there doing this in 95 degree heat. It’s the scum we have in city hall, collecting over 1.3 million in traffic fines every year.
Pembroke Pines is a speed trap city. Stay away. Don’t move here. Don’t drive here. Don’t put your industry here.
NW 178th Avenue near NW 17th Street
Inside Silver Lakes — cops hide among the trees northbound on NW178th Avenue just as the road curves westward and turn into NW 17th street. As cars approach the hump on the big bridge, they are unable to see the cops who will clock them as they get over the bridge’s hump. At that point it’s too late. The speed limit is 35 MPH, but I find myself easily driving 45-50.

Sheridan Street near 136th Avenue
Eastbound on Sheridan between I-75 and Flamingo Rd. Motor officers sit in the center getting cars eastbound on this long road. Easy to exceed the limit.

Sheridan Street near East of NW 172nd Avenue
Unmarked cruiser parks on the north side of Sheridan St. facing oncoming westbound traffic travelling west of Dykes Road. Speed limit drops from 45MPH to 35MPH right in front of Broward County Library.

University Drive near Sheridan Street
They park just south of Sheridan before the post office and bust people who turn on red coming of Sheridan east bound and turning south onto University! It is not for speeding but it is still a trap cause a lot of people turn there and don’t notice the No turn on red sign. I see tons of people pulled over there.
