Auburn, Georgia Speed Traps

Auburn Police have a small space to Patrol and they flat out come to a stop, turn around and follow you up and down Patrick Mill. It has happened to me twice in the last two weeks. They cannot wait for a reason to give you a ticket for failure to maintain lane (and subsequent car search). It feels like they try forcing you to weave out of your lane as they are on your back bumper following too closely! Especially if they think you are a young driver.

City of Auburn PD sits in United Methodist parking lot overlooking the intersection and will give tickets for "Failure to come to a complete stop" and can shoot radar down three of the four pathways into the intersection. Very popular spot toward the end of the month when Highway 8/29 city limits area coming into town is not producing. Also popular on Friday and Saturday nights to snag drunk drivers and insurance violators. Curch in one corner and new water tower on opposite corner.

Auburn city police write hundreds of tickets a week for any speeds over 45 miles an hour through the city. They prey on out of towners especially. They have solved no crimes in the city in 10 years other than traffic citations. The judge loves to fine people, and tell them how fierce the law is here…lmfao!…BEWARE of this town!

From city limit to city limit you better slow down.I have seen Auburn City Police pull over motorists without apparent reason. They will put the blue lights on you in parking lots and or your own driveway. They tend to stop younger females. Anytime in this town is dangerous, Saturday mornings are the worst. Beware!

The whole town is a trap. Especially on Georgia Football game day. Saturday will definitely pay for the entire police force’s retirement fund. Watch out!More police cars than population. Reminds me of the old South Georgia speed traps of the 70’s. They will get you. Slow down unless you are cash rich.
