Cartersville, Georgia Speed Traps
On Old Mill Road in front of Cartersville Gas Department
Marked city of Cartersville squad cars are periodically present on the gas department property. This can be day and night at any time. Speed limit on this stretch is only 35 MPH (too low in my opinion), so watch your speed. Also please flash your headlights to warn approaching drivers, it’s completely legal for you to do so.
I-75 between Red Top mountain Exit and 411exit
South bound traffic scanned by unmarked car with radar often have 3-4 cars to chase down motorist.
South end of city limits on hwy 41
A unit sits backed up in a old roadbed that used to be the entrance of the old elks lodge just south of crest junk yard. Only visible when you are directly perpendicular to them from either direction.
The speed limit changes from 55 to 45 coming into the city just feet from his position
interstate 75 Exit 188 (Main Street) Bartow County
Both County and Georgia State Patrol sit on the overpass clocking cars heading southbound on I-75. At times they will have a dozen or more chasers on the southbound entrance ramp. I have seen up to 8-10 cars pulled over at one time. As you approach the overpass you will just barely be able to see the car doing the clocking.
Rudy York Rd. off Grassdale Rd
