Briarcliff Rd NE & Kay Ln NE, Atlanta, GA 30306
It’s a straightaway with long-distance visibility and you’re going down a steep hill (going north on Briarcliff @ Kay Ln), so of course you’re going to go a little faster as you go down the hill. There was a cop standing in the middle of the road pointing his laser detector toward northbound cars.
Hwy 29 at Scott Blvd.
I was pulled over for allegedly going 56 in a 40 mph zone, however, the road here coupled with the heavy traffic really prevents you from speeding if you wanted to.
2 blocks up Clairmont Avenue from Commerce Drive
There is a school zone 2 blocks up Clairmont Avenue from Commerce Drive and police wait at a cross street to get anyone going over 25 miles per hour. It’s pretty obvious when you’re coming from Commerce Drive, but when you’re coming towards Commerce Drive from North Decatur Road, there is a flashing school sign, then nothing for several blocks to tell you that you are still in the school zone. But five blocks later the police will still stop you for it being a school zone and if you are going 10 miles per hour over, the fine is over $300.
