Motorcycle officer with speed detection device grabs drivers coming from Peachtree Industrial Blvd. on Tilly Mill Rd. The limit is 35 mph but most traffic goes 45 – 50.
Interstate Peachtree Ind. Blvd. near Interstate I-285 East bound
On I-285 East bound from GA400, usually there is police that patrol the area where the interstate crosses Peachtree Industrial Blvd. Though most cars on I-285 are ok to run close to 70mph, the Doraville police are more than happy to ticket for running over the posted 65mph limit in their area. The west bound side is also monitored, but believe the East side is watched more. However, have seen Doraville officers as far down as Chamblee-Tucker exit waiting for speeders.
US Highway 23 / Buford Highway near Interstate 285 – North of I-285
Speed trap on Buford Highway north of I-285. Southbound speed limit unexpectedly drops from 45 to 35 one mile from I-285, within Doraville city limits. Speed limit sign and black police cars easy to miss during daylight, and practically impossible to see at night.
Peachtree Industrial Boulevard near Winters Chapel Street
Coming down from the hill southbound approaching the intersection, police cannot be seen until too late. Also same situation northbound past the intersection.
Interstate I-285 near State Highway After Buford
Its really dark. WIth the doraville cops with black cars its really hard to spot them. THey have couple mustangs and a few dodge MAGUM! Just becareful all throughout i-285
