Duluth, Georgia Speed Traps

10 out of the 30 days a month 3 to 7 officers (cars and motorcycles) sit in the mouth of a neighborhood at the bottom of a hill nabbing speeders going both directions. It sometimes even almost causes accidents because they are pulling over so many people at once and the traffic is so thick.

Traveling north on Buford Highway, just before you reach the Buford Highway and 120 intersection, there is typically a police car sitting in a parking lot on the right hand side of the road waiting.

Police sit on motorcycles behind a bush in some one’s driveway. Speed limit changes between 25 and 30 mph…well below safe driving conditions. The whole road is down hill.

On the South end of the loop, Duluth city police will randomly setup on the west side of the road just as the road curves north. The posted speed limit is 25mph on a 4-lane road.
