Pleasant Hill Road near Peachtree Industrial Boulevard
Right across from Gwinnett Medical Center on Pleasant Hill Road the police sit in the parking lot catching people coming around the corner heading towards Peachtree Industrial Blvd. When I had to visit an office located there on a weekly basis it never failed that they cops were sitting there and always were pulling someone over.
US Highway Buford near 120 Road
Police park their car in the Big Lots Shopping Center and stand on the incline drive into the parking lot with radar guns pointed at Northbound traffic. Seems to be more prevelant at the end of the month, and the end of the quarter year (financial budgets?)
State Highway 120 near Peachtree Ind. Boulevard
Well here we go again. For users that live in the Duluth, GA area the Duluth PD is at it again with an old stunt. At the intersection of GA Hwy 120 and Peachtree Ind. There is a bank on the corner, (BB&T), Duluth PD will park their car in lot behind bank and walk out to drive off Hwy 120. There is a long cross marked area coming from Duluth old town and then a left turn lane for Peachtree Ind. If you get in marked area before turn area, (Everyone does in rush hour, even police), Officer walks out into road and motions you into parking lot, You Got a $70.00 Ticket!

This is a new kind of "trap." I am very wary of the tactics of the Duluth Police and it is public knowledge they built that huge courthouse with the hard earned money of unsuspecting motorists. Therefore, I do not speed. I would like to warn others about another kind of trap that caught me this morning. In rush hour traffic I needed to make a left turn from Pleasant Hill Rd south onto Peachtree Ind. Blvd. I entered the center lane when I could and soon saw the blue lights behind me. I received a ticket for traveling slowly and safely over 300ft in a center lane. Beware! The end of the year is coming and I am sure they are looking for record revenue.
State Highway 23 near Duluth Dept of Public Safety
Most of Buford Hwy(Hwy23) is a 40 or 45mph zone. Except for about 1/4mi south and 1mi north of the New Department of Public Safety(DPS). About 100 yds north of the DPS the road takes a steep down slope. Of course this is only shortly after the road changes to a 35mph zone and this is on a 5 lane Hwy, go figure. the cops like to sit right in front of a little used car lot. They’re very difficult to see so be careful.
Note: They also sit directly opposite of the DPS for southbound commuters.
