They sit in cruisers in the golf course area. 45 mph sign posted at the end of stretch they usually catch you before that time. Usually after coming around the turn after the gas station at village parkway. Advice, stay in "non-pasing lane" until view is clear around turn. got pulled over travelling behind another car going at about same speed.

The stretch of Windy Hill Rd. between Atlanta Rd. and Hwy. 41. City of Smyrna police have motorcycles in the center median and cars on the sides. (Have seen them on both sides, but predominately on the Westbound side.) The cars on the side have spots cleared out in the trees along the side of the golf course. They do hide in these clearings, but are visible most of the time. The view of the motorcycles in the center median is obstructed by several trees and shrubs. Interestingly enough, the City of Smyrna has even built several concrete ramps onto the center median as to ease the motorcycles on to and off of the median. I have spotted them on several occasions, mainly during the middle of the day in front of the golf course. The speed limit on this road is 45 m.p.h. However, due to the lie of the road, you can easily find yourself going 60-65 m.p.h.
