as you turn north onto windy hill rd from austell rd, the trap is about 2 or 3 blocks up, just past the 40 mph speed sign
south cobb dr between windy hill and east west connector
there are various set up places on the stretch of south cobb dr between windy hill and the east west connector. the road has waving hills and it draws your speed up as you go down these hills.
Ridge Road close to Atlanta Road intersection
Usually a motorcycle cop (or two) will pull his bike onto the sidewalk in a spot obscured by trees (across from entrance to Ridge Oak subdivision). Speed limit on Ridge Rd is 35, but surrounding roadways are 45, making motorists easy targets. Usually shoots radar at eastbound cars coming off South Cobb Drive. This is a busy road during morning/evening commute hours, but cops aren’t out then. They wait until 9:00/9:30 to catch unsuspecting locals.
East-West Connector between S. Cobb Dr. and Cooper Lake Rd.
Set mainly for the Westbound side of the road, this is at a steep downgrade just past the Publix shopping center. The grade is so steep that coasting down hill will put you over the 45 mph speed limit. Cops sit on top of the next hill and wait for you to hit the bottom to clock you. They’re out there 3-5 times a week.
South Cobb Drive
Uually they set up in front of the Wade Ford Fleet Lot and get people going down the hill were gravity takes over . Speed limit is 45 on a 5 lane road . When the weather is nice the motorcycle cops are there.
