Buffalo Grove, Illinois Speed Traps
Milwaukee Avenue near Deerfield Parkway
Police stand in the middle of the street and wave cars to an empty lot where 8-10 police cars are waiting to write tickets. They also look for seat belt violations when the lights are red.
Half Day Road near Easton Avenue
I see a cop sitting at the fire department every time I go to lunch at the Wendy’s over in buffalo grove. There seems to be one there during AM and PM traffic too. There’s some insane road construction going on, and everyone uses it to get home at night, so of course people are going to speed. The speed limit is 35, because of the construction. Just be careful not to speed, cuz that is a hefty fine even if there isn’t workers on the road.
Pauline Street near State Route 83
On Pauline between Rte 83 and Weiland, police often sit in the side streets or cul de sacs with radar. The speed limit is 25 but since it is a through street, it is easy to go faster and the police know it and are there pulling people over often.
State Highway 53 North near Between Dundee and Lake Cook Roads
Right before passing the underpass the cop will sit in the middle between the support beams. You can only see the top headlights until you pass him on your left side. Be careful there are usually two cars one radar’s and the other pulls you over.
Armstrong Avenue near Weiland Road
Armstrong is 25mph between Lexington and Weiland.
Polics hide on tne connecting side streets and use radar to get you. Various times of the year they have a speed limit display to show you your speed.
Armstrong is also used as a detour for the heavily travelled Lake Cook Road.
