Buffalo Grove, Illinois Speed Traps
Dundee Rd. between Buffalo Grove HS and Weidner Rd. Light
Cops are always there, especially on the weekends. Cops usually face west in the parking lot of Bison Park. They get you just as soon as you’re in their jurisdiction. Really annoying! Make sure you’re not going over 35 because they WILL get you.
Deerfield Pkwy, East of Highland Grove Dr.
Officer will monitor east and west Deerfield Pkwy from Buffalo Grove Fire Department parking lot (located just east of Fabish side street) on south side of Deerfield Pkwy.
Deerfield Pakrway & Larraway Drive
Police will sit on Larraway to catch speeders since the speed limit drops from 40mph east of Buffalo Grove Road to 35mph west of Buffalo Grove Road.
On occasion, they also sit in the parking lot of the park adjacent to Brandywyn Lane.

Lake-Cook Road and Hastings Ln.
The cops hide on Hastings Lane on the north side of Lake-Cook Rd. to attack
west bound Lake-Cook traffic. It’s a triple threat trap. 1) The speed
limit is too low for the 6 lane arterial with limited cross streets. 2)
It’s on the downhill from the overpass (going over the railroad tracks)
3) The right lane ends encouraging people to speed up to make a safe
lane change. Also note Lake-Cook Road is entirely in Cook county in this
segment.
