Norridge, Illinois Speed Traps

This is the well known trap that is on forest perserve drive, between oak park & harlem. The officers like to park further back on the side streets & just await their prey.

Police sit on the corner of Pittsburgh Ave at Foster Ave.
Speed limit is 25 mph. The corner is obscured by bushes on the south side of Foster Ave. Police sit on Pittsburgh about a car length back from the corner and cannot be easily seen. Do the limit here.

There is a cemetary entrance on Montrose Avenue which is somewhere between Pueblo Avenue and Ozanam Avenue. If you are driving either east or west on Montrose and are more than 10 miles over the limit the police will get you. They are well hidden within the apron of the entrance and you cannot see the police car until you are right up on it. At times they have used a fake dummy to make it appear someone is in the car, but it is one of those dummies like the State Police use to control traffic. The problem is that you never know when someone is actually taking radar. Drive the limit in this area.

Be cautious if driving on Canfield between Lawrence and Foster Avenues. The limit is posted at 25 MPH, but all of the roads around it are posted at 35 MPH. The posted speed limit on Canfield is very unrealistic and unfair. I see these gorillas pull over a lot of cars on this road and these police are very mean and very rarely cut any breaks.

Right by the McDonnalds late at night, a cop sits there and gets anyone, for anything…DO THE LIMIT on Harlem untill you get to the mall, there are cops all over the place, and they dont have anything better to do, they’ll get you!…also be very carefull by the mall parking lot, someone sits there all night too.
