Rt 53 Expressway near Overpass
Officer sits under the overpass monitoring one side or the other of Rt53 traffic, many times have multiple officers. They are hidden until the last minute by embankments.
State Highway Northwest near underpass
Traveling eastbound on Northwest Highway (route 14) after you drive under Dundee Road there is usually a cop that sits at the bottom of the hill about a half mile up the road on the left hand side. They use Lidar so people with radar detectors beware! By the time mine went off it was too late! The posted speed limit is 45 but the average speed people travel though that stretch is 60. It’s easy pickin’s for the coppers.
Algonquin Road near Little City Parking Lot
This speed trap is a sherrifs department cop. He sits behind the bushes in the little city parking lot just by the greenhouse.
If you are heading west on algonquin it is impossible to see him. He is there thursday nights between 6pm-11pm

Cunningham Drive near Plum Grove Road
Cunningham Drive between Hicks Road and Smith Road . The squad sits in the church lot at Hicks Road and catches eastbound traffic. Other times, they’ll be at the other end of Cunningham at Plum Grove next to the reservoir getting east or westbound. Limit is 25mph, they’re there often.
