127th street and Rte 59 behind book store across from Wal-Mart

Plainfield, IllinoisFeb 04, 20110 Comments

I have seen on several occasions an officer parked behind the book store. The speed limit drops from 35 miles per hour to 30 miles per hour right before the shopping entrance. There have been several accidents in this location over the years. He is difficult to see if you are coming from Van Dyke as well if you are coming across Rte 59.

Rte 30 and 127th Street

Plainfield, IllinoisMay 31, 20101 Comments

As you turn onto Rte 30 heading Northwest toward Aurora, there is frequently an officer sitting in the parking lot of the Hometown Furniture store. The squad car hides just behind the building and gets speeders zooming up Rte 30, particularly on weekday mornings around 7 a.m. This is a two-lane, 50 mph road and cars get really aggressive about passing and going over the speed limit.

Lockport St. and Bartlett St.

Plainfield, IllinoisMay 10, 20100 Comments

The police actually stand on the corner of Lockport St. and Bartlett, one or two on each side of Lockport St. with radar and since there is a Stop sign, they also check for seat belts especially now in the warmer weather!
