Bloomington, Indiana Speed Traps
Cascades Park (Old US 37)
20 mph radar enforced at bottom of hill after entering park before the playground
Sunday Mornings
It seems that every Sunday morning I use 37 from Highland Village 8:30 – 9:Am. Right behind Bloomington North High School there it seems that the State Police has pulled cars over and before you head down the hill to the old 37 exit and before the long hill before reaching the Bigfoot on North 37.
State Highway 37 North of Bloomington
Thanks to your tax money, the ISP has bought several new Mustangs, red, silver and black. These cars are equipped with POP and Stalker Instant on Radar. The troopers in these cars are young and aggressive.
N Walnut St & E Blue Ridge Dr
Just south of Blue Ridge and Visitors Bureau/Welcome Center at top of hill. Going up the hill from the north, speed limit is 45. Becomes 40 as hill starts to crest. Cop (often on motorcyle) at top of hill, standing with radar gun in hand. Usually there at commute times, when people are going to/going back home from work.

Between Indy and Bloomginton there are multiple police, mostly ISP who lay in the median shooting (I presume) radar. I don’t have a detector…
There was a red unmarked Crown Vic hiding on the right side of the road in a driveway behind trees shooting radar.
I saw three people pulled over, and that was a normal day. I’ve gotten a 24 over ticket right outside Bloomginton going to Indy.
Keep your eyes peeled, they’re sneaky.
