Indianapolis, Indiana Speed Traps

They sit in the parking lot of the school and also at the Enterances of the surrounding neighborhoods clocking in the school zone that is 25mph. I have only seen them in the morning but I am sure they are there all day.

Just as you pass South street going north on Delaware, the speed limit changes to 25. This is a newly posted sign. Several (6) motorcycle police are at/near the crosswalk to Conseco and shooting cars as they proceed north and are camoflauged by the railroad supports. The initial posting sign is just north of Conseco. The officer that gave me the ticket said, "we’re cracking down on the downtown square that is now all marked at 25 mph." Cough up $150.

On I-65 south, just after you cross the exit to 865, there are several bridge pillars in the median that the state patrol LOVES to hide behind. Watch those pillars from the 865 exit all the way until you get into the loop. Same deal on 865, right after that last turn on the ramp.

This isn’t a common occurance, but it is something to watch out for. Ocassionally, an unmarked state Crown Vic (usually black) will be sitting in the left hand emergency lane. I’ve only seen this on weekend afternoons, however. The car is usually within a mile of the Keystone exit on the north side, but may be as far west as Meridian and as far east as I-69. I don’t know if they have the rear window radar/laser. If the visibility is good, you’ll be able to see him before he can pay attention to you.

I drive through there eceryday. I often see a green unmarked Ford Police car sitting at Post Rd on I-70. The only cars that I have ever seen him pull over are semis. This guy must never sleep because he is there all of the time.
