US Highway 42 near N. Hubbards Lane

Louisville, KentuckyNov 26, 20070 Comments

I just turned onto Brownsboro from Chenoweth and was heading East. I was on the road for about 15 seconds before it was obvious I was getting pulled over. I found out from the officer the speed limit is 35. I got a $30 fine and $120 court fee. It didn’t seem to matter to the officer that I just moved to Louisville and was not familiar with that road. Afterwards I drove 35 and Everyone passed me. Those behind me were tailgating me and looking to pass me. I didn’t see one car driving 35 as I continued driving down Brownsboro.

Officer sits on the side of road just north of the Watterson on Newburg Road. There is a downhill slope and a must to brake gradually, speed limit is only 35 and he sees you before you see him.

Billtown Road near Gene Snyder Freeway

Marked and unmarked cars sit on the entrance ramp to the Gene Snyder Freeway from Billtown Road, headed North/East. Cars traveling North/East on the Gene Snyder are generally driving along with the flow of traffic and you will not see the police car until he’s already clocked you and has come after you from his hiding spot beside a rock wall along that entrance ramp to the Gene Snyder from Billtown Road.
