Louisville, Kentucky Speed Traps

Main residential thoroughfare for motorists wishing to travel between Taylorsville Road and HIkes Lane, or wishing to access I-264 (Watterson X-way) at Taylorsville Road. Speed limit is posted at 25 MPH, due to residential neighborhood. But it is very easy to travel 35 to 40 MPH without knowing. Invariably there is some officer patroling (marked/unmarked) or riding through.

They will sit in the emergency lanes as if they are broke down. The speed limit drops to 55 from 65 when you enter Louisville from the north and south. They are out there constantly, day and night, and never give warnings.

There is only one speed marker and it’s easy to miss if you are driving in one of the left hand lanes and a tractor-trailer blocks your view. I received a ticket for going 70mph in a 55mph zone when I thought the speed limit was 65mph.
