Denham Springs, Louisiana Speed Traps
Range Ave. at Mattie St. 07/04/13.
Denham Springs City PD shooting radar. If you are traveling on N Range Avenue and cross Centerville St. into the Antique District, you have no where to go. The speed limit is 25mph. I was doing approx 30mph and luckily wasn’t pulled over.
This is past the CVS when heading north just after range ave splits and BAy st veers off. They hide in the bank parking lot .
Radar/seat belt/safety inspection/DUI checkpoint.
Officers may be at either OR both sides of bridge.
Today 01/16/2010 officers at BOTH ends of new bridge.
Near Coburn Supply. 11/25/2011
Here this morning.
Appears to be more of a seat belt/safety inspection with cars on both sides of road. Common way for various agencies to generate revenue.
Usually on left side of street on far side of old Winn Dixie building.
This is a reoccurring speed trap.
The officer(s) will usually be on far side of building and many times you won’t see them until it’s too late.
For some reason this section of street turns into a 25mph zone without a lot of warning. I think I’ve seen state cops here, too.
This spot seems to be a VERY big money maker for the police.
