Baltimore, Maryland Speed Traps
Northern Parkway btwn Charles St. & Roland Ave.
NOTE – I’ve seen this trap going Eastbound and Westbound on Roland. Westbound – After coming down the hill just before Bryn Mayr High School, there is a slight curve to the right. About 200 yds ahead, there are 3-5 cops Laser gunning you who will wave you down. The speedlimit is 30 MPH here! Eastbound – After coming down the hill from the other direction and taking a slight left turn, there are the same number of cops about 200 yds ahead on a side street to the right with Laser guns. Again, the speed limit is 30 MPH.
I-83 South
Officers park their cars with the parked cars so they won’t be spotted usually on the right side of the street when coming off of Druid Lake Drive onto the I-83 South bound exit towards downtown Baltimore. The posted speed limit is 30 mph.
Roland Avenue
Usually located a half mile off of Cold Spring Avenue, the police like to hide down a side street, and step out into the road to pull you over. They are usually there between 8:30 AM and 1 PM.
I-95N entering Baltimore city limits
As you enter city limits from I-95N, the speed limit drops from 65mph to 55 mph. about 50 yards from that sign, you will see a cop sitting in the median. If he sees no attempt on your part to slow down, he will follow you and pull you over. You can usually get away with no more than 65 mph before he follows.
Top-side 695 ‘inner-loop’
Usually, during the weekends and end-of-month, you’ll see AT LEAST 2 State Police patrol vehicles sitting on the median(barriered) on the Beltway inner-loop. They’re just before the I-83 South exit at the top of the large hill. One car is the "spotter" and 1-2 car(s) are the "pursuit" vehicle(s).
