Old Pimlico Road near Falls Road, 21209

Baltimore, MarylandApr 19, 20100 Comments

This is a speed trap. The speed limit is 30 but the road is 4 lanes wide open space and it is easy to go 50, but DON’T! It seems like the cops are there on bright sunny days. Sometimes they are close to Falls Road, other times they are sitting on one of the side streets before. When you see them, it is too late. If you don’t go under about 41 MPH you are probably ok, any faster, and you’d better figure on sitting for a few minutes waiting for the ticket to get written out. I HATE when they say “Drive safely sir”.

I-95 Going Southbound Past Whitemarsh Blvd.

Baltimore, MarylandApr 17, 20101 Comments

I was driving around 9:00 PM on I-95, just past the Essex/Towson Exits (about 2 miles), going southbound on I-95 towards the FT McHenry tunnel when I passed the new I-95 construction area. As a bright strobe type of light flashed in front of me in the speed lane is when I noticed the automatic speed camera trap signs.
The speed drops from 65 to 50mph and they have a double fine because of the work going on. Even though no work is going on in the evening this auto camera still goes on to bring in the extra revenue for the State. Be careful through that area. This happened yesterday. I don’t know yet if the driver in front of me got hit or my car got hit by the camera.

I695 and 83

There is a "construction zone", and an unmarked white SUV sits on either side of the highway at any given time, taking pictures of the liscence plates of anyone going over 62mph.

King Avenue @ the Boumi Temple

They sit at the entrance to the Boumi Temple, hiding behind the trees. The entrance is just past the bridge over I95, past the back entrance to the parking lot of CCBC.

Smith Ave. and Rosetta Rd.

Baltimore, MarylandJan 05, 20100 Comments

Police have been setting up speed traps on the corner of Rosetta Road and Smith Ave., beaming radar at the traffic on Smith Ave. The area is posted 30 MPH and I’ve seen County police pulling people over. It’s sort of across the street from Bonnie Ridge Apartments.
