The one part of the Baltimore Beltway where there’s actually not too much traffic has a speed limit of 55mph. There’s usually a cop sitting in between the east and west bound lanes hiding behind the median and spends his day pulling people over.

Interstate I-95 near Mile Marker MM 62 -67 NB&SB

This is probably the most aggressively enforced area in the entire State of MD which is somewhat mind boggling as it is rated the number one congested area in the State of MD. During the am and pm rush hours, speed rarely get above 45 in this area. When traveling SB, the speed drops from 65 to 55 below exit 67. With the construction going on, stationary revenue enforcement is not an issue at this time. The area primarily enforced is from the 95/895 split up through the White Marsh Blvd exit. In this area, they primarily use unmarked vehicles including: Ford Crown Vics (black, blue), Dodge Chargers (black, silver), Chevy Camaros )red, blue, black), Pontiac GTO’s (black, red, orange) Ford Mustangs (silver, red, blue and black), Chevy Silverado pick-ups (black only), Ford Explorers and Expiditions (primarily black, some green)and Dodge Magnum’s (black, blue, red and silver). They basically ride in traffic in the right lane and wait for cars to go by. They will also tail gate vehicles in the Mustangs and Camaros to fool people into thinking they should speed up.
Pay attention in this area for unmarked cars with unusual antanaes, very dark window tint and Goodyear HP tires. The red/blue strobe lights are buried in the back windows and are down on the bumpers on the SUV’s and pick-ups.
