The speed trap is usually confined to E. Outer Drive between Mound Rd and Conant Rd. The awaiting officers hide on various residential "side" streets. The squad cars can be as many as 6 at a time. SLOW down, and wear safety belts, or they WILL get Ya!

They sit in the Family Dollar parking lot, facing north so they can come after you no matter if you’re going East or West.

Up to three cars work from Scheafer to Greenfield. White Speed Traffice Cop Cars park at the light and wait for you to pull off or turn on flashing signal lights.

The traffic units have areas of concentration, usually on weekends. Gratiot between 7 & 8 Mile; Van Dyke between 7 & 8 Mile and sometimes VanDyke & I-94 where they line up, working in tandem you might see three cars pulled over at any given time with 4 or 5 more cops waiting close by to nab another one.
