Just before 12 mile if you are going north, the Police sit in the u-turn from the other side when it is vacant, wait for a northbound speeder, and take off after them, I found this out the hard way.
11 Mile between Bell Rd. and Lahser
In the Greyhound Bus parking lot, a police car sits to not only get speeders, but also those who are exiting 10 North (Northwestern Hwy.) via the Lahser exit and fail to come to a complete stop at the stop sign at the end of the exit on 11 Mile.
Civic Center between Lahser and Berg
Westbound, a police car sits at the end of the Southfield cemetery to catch speeders going over 35 mph; and across the street on the eastbound side, a police car sits in a church parking lot to catch speeders and those who fail to stop at the stop sign in the turnaround when making a Michigan left.
12 Mile road just west of Southfield Rd.
Lathrup Village police officer (name omitted) parks his motorcycle on the south side of 12 Mile in front of office buildings, between trees, facing west. Pulls people over daily who are mainly traveling east bound.
north bound Bell Road, between 11 and 12 mile roads
Police park car on private lot on west side of Bell just north of Pontchartrain. You can not see the car when driving north from 12 mile. Speed is 25 mph.
