Westland, Michigan Speed Traps

Newburgh Road both north and southbound near the railroad underpass. Southbound they sit in either camper store on either side of the road and have even seen them in the factory parking lot. Northbound they sit on the west side right at the top of the hill and have even seen them in the boat store parking lot a few times. Posted speed is 40 mph, I wouldn’t get over 45 mph anywhere between Cherry Hill and Palmer Roads.

When I want to pay a ticket there were 10 people paying speeding tickets all form Marquette between Newburgh and Merriman

Palmer to Hannah is a detour for southbound newburg south of palmer. Speed limit is 25 mph residential. Pulling people over all the time. They sit in driveways and church parking lot, pulling people over doing 30 mph. Watch your speed ( do 25 please)

Westland Police lay in wait off the side of a small dirt section of Yale Street south of Hunter Avenue on a regular basis. Apparently there were too many complaints about them blocking the apartment parking lot entrances on Hunter between Yale and Central City for them to continue to perch there.
