Westland, Michigan Speed Traps

I have been slammed on Warren and the light between Inkster and Middlebelt. Their is a strip mall there and the street may be deering. Westland cops sit way down the street north of Warren and they swear they have you on radar. I went to court and I fought the stupid ticket and won.

This quiet dirt road gets people from Wayne Road to Carlson with no stop signs, so it is often traveled at very high speeds. The limit is posted at 25 and the residents are petitioning it to go down to 15. It is a private road and the residents get descriptions and plate numbers and call in the speeders to the police who will wait hiding around the corner on the Carlson end or in the restuarant parking lot at the Wayne Rd end and issue tickets for a few days to slow the traffic down. You never know when they will be there until they pull out to get you!

The police sit in wait on the side steets between Cherry Hill and Hazelwood. It is a school zone and residential, but a lot of people use it to avoid Wayne Road traffic, and the police are there waiting for them.

Wildwood Rd. Between Ford rd. and Warren rd. Westland Police are hiding on side streets between Ice arena (by park) and Warren rd. Be especially carefull by stop signs as they normally sit behind parked vehicles about 4 houses from wildwood. Note: they work this area for speeding and rolling stop 3-4 days a week including Saturday. many times more than one officer working area at same time.
