The officer using the laser sits on top of the Baker Road Bridge getting cars traveling east on Hwy 7 as they approach 494. "Chase" cars are waiting east of the bridge. By the time you see the "chase" cars it is to late. This operation is set up a few times a month and occasionally on weekends. The boyz like to hide out in the bushes with a hand held laser — the one with the digital camera built in, on the top of the hill just before Red Circle Drive. From there, they can clock your speed as you come down the steep hill 1/4 mile before the trap. There’s usually 2 or 3 chase cars waiting to write tickets. Always a good productive day during the first and last week of the month (quota time for all). Usually starts around 10:00am and goes till 3:00pm. Minnetonka likes to write tickets for 5 mph over the speed limit, so watch it as you’re comming down the hills in the entire office park.
