Kansas City, Missouri Speed Traps
I-435 Between 23rd Street/78 Highway and Eastwood Trafficway/350 Highway
This is a construction zone for the rest of the year. Both directions on I-435 are down to one lane. Use precaution if construction workers are out. KCPD are commonly issuing tickets for speeding in a work zone.
Ward Parkway (between 55th St. & 63rd St)
Lots of motorcycle cops sitting on side streets through this area.
NW 108th Street between 169 Hwy and Ambassador
KCMO-PD has got motorcycle cops and patrol cars running radar in front of the Good Shepherd Pet Motel on a fairly regular basis. They also hang out on Platte Purchase and Robin Hood lane. 108th is hilly so it’s pretty easy for them to hide. This rural road is posted at only 40 which is silly even with the one lane bridges. It seems that the targets are commuters who use this road as an alternative to 152. Watch out!
Broadway bridge just before the I-29 intersection
Just after the crossing of Parkville exit there is a car or motorcycle sitting to the right of an on ramp. Saw one morotcycl cop bust the guy that passed me about 30 seconds earlier. Glad he did not stop me. I was doing 5 over.
Southwest Trafficway between 31st and 43rd
Cop will be tucked off in a side street nailing people exceeding the 35 mph speed limit.
