KCI entrance road Cookingham @ Bern Street

Kansas City, MissouriOct 18, 20031 Comments

There is orange road construction barrels everywhere and fences blocking view of shoulder. Bern Street entrance is closed off. KCI airport cops using only laser (radar detector did not pick it up, and since it is airport area–radar would be inaccurate all the time due to planes in area) hide there catching people late for flights who don’t realize speed is now 35 instead of 55 it was before construction. God help you if it is during daytime and workers are there, it then adds another $250 construction zone fine on top. While these are airport cops but will give you a ticket for KCMO municipal court same as KCMO cops.

I-29 Southbound between Davidson Rd, and Parvin rd

Kansas City, MissouriSep 21, 20030 Comments

During high traffic flow times, Mornings and weekends, Police will run radar just past the Davidson rd. exit on I-29 South. At the Davidson rd. entrance ramp to I-29S the interstate narrows to one lane from the left and also one lane from the right creating a bottleneck. Driver’s trying to enter the interstate from the Davidson Rd. entrance ramp at posted speeds of 55 mph are forced to try to blend into a heavy traffic load of drivers trying to merge suddenly from the left due to poor signage warning of the merge into one lane. Someone has to speed up and the Police sit some 100 yards past the overpass which goes over I-29, behind the overpass bridge columns, just past where the Davidson rd./ I-29 South intersect and catch people speeding up to try to merge into this one lane. Usually Police Cars as well as Motorcycle Officers.

152 HWY and N. Indiana

Passing under N. Indiana on 152, the cop sits at the bottom of the decline and snipes people coasting down until they exceed the speed limit. Got caught doing 70 in a 60. F the Po Leese.

Bruce R. Watkins Drive (71 Highway) at 55th Street

Kansas City, MissouriJul 22, 20030 Comments

This is the area where all Kansas Citians know the speed limits are set low, plus they have unreasonable traffic signals to slow you down even more at cause you to want to speed. Police commonly use a helecopter to enforce the speed limit in this area.
