Las Vegas, Nevada Speed Traps
Alta and Rampart
Alta next to the Suncoast. I have seen as well as have heard of people being pulled over there constantly. It is a 2 lane road with moderate traffic traveling 10-20 over constantly.
Patrick Road, between Eastern and Pecos
Right as you get onto Patrick East from Eastern to Pecos, officers on motorcycles like to camp out in the various industrial buildings and parking lots that line this 1 mile or so stretch to Pecos. Pretty moderate enforcement, the speed limit is 35 MPH but it is easy to do 45-50 MPH, so be careful. Usually happens about once a week in the evenings from 5-6.
I-215 East
AS you are traveling east on the 215, just past the I-15 South exit, the 215, makes a left turn. NHP likes to sit on the left shoulder just apst this turn and clock the speeders when they come around the corner. They got me once, but now the Valentine 1 warns me.
Eastern Ave. between Desert in Road and Viking
Motor officers working in pairs parked across from each other, off the main street (Eastern Ave).
E. Harmon between Pecos and Eastern
Cops on bikes hide just inside of Topaz and wait for people to whizz by on their way to Eastern, usually. I’ve seen numerous people busted there over many years. The speed limit is 25, but most people go 45. Just be aware of this.
