State Highway Pyramid near Dolores Street

Sparks, NevadaJun 08, 20070 Comments

Bike cops sit at Dolores and radar people going through the 45 almost at the 55. They once pulled over 30 people in a 3 hour period with 3 bike cops. So they’re super strict. Be careful because they have no mercy since it’s technically a "residential area".

La Posada Road near Rockwell Street

Sparks, NevadaJun 08, 20070 Comments

Bike cops sit in the firestation area, and radar people coming down La Posada towards Pyramid. It changes from 35 to 25 a little bit before the firestation. They radar you when you’re coming from a 1/2 mile away. Just after Omni, they radar you. Careful!

around the time that reed high is out on lunch, the stretch of vista blvd between los altos and disc drive, there is a series of hills and turns going toward wingfield springs, there are unmarked mini vans that are parked in the intersections who just radar cars and give a description of the car to awaiting officers and a block later motorcycle cops are there waiting for to cite you.i wouldnt of known that it was the mini vans tagging people, if the cop hadnt told me. i went back around that area with a radar detector and the thing lights up like a christmas tree.

State Highway 445 Pyramid Highway near MacCarran Boulevard

Sparks, NevadaMay 12, 20050 Comments

Pyramid Hwy (AKA Highway 445) from MacCarran to Calle de la Plata (through Spanish Springs Valley)the speed limit is 55 mph for a short distance, then drops to a ridiculous 45 mph. This stretch is patrolled by NHP, Sparks Police, Washoe Co Sheriff’s and even Indian Reservation Police. I was stopped by an Indian Reservation cop who was in an unmarked, dark blue SUV. The red and blue lights were in the windshield and not visible until turned on. I passed him because he was going 40 mph in a 55 mph zone. Didn’t know it was a cop until he turned the lights on and pulled me over!
