Oakland, New Jersey Speed Traps

Cops will sit in various locations and shoot both up and down the hill. It’s a newly paved 25mph street with parking on the uphill side. It’s difficult to see them because of the parked cars and the short sight distances.

Often at night there’ll be one sitting in the parking lot in front of the Board of Education building, next to the Memorial Park. They face 202. Driving through town late at night alot, I’ve noticed this become one of their favorite spots.

the far back of lot. sitting facing the road watching the ramapo valley side (oakland) as well as the terhune side (wayne) waiting for the speeders coming down both ways.
