Spain Street near Juan Tabo Boulevard

Albuquerque, New MexicoMay 31, 20050 Comments

Officers hide out in small residential side streets a few blocks east of Juan Tabo on Spain. They have a group of 4-5 officers on motorcycles and shoot the laser from behind a wall. People are pulled over in packs- pay attention and look ahead!

Gibson Road near Interstate 25

Albuquerque, New MexicoMay 31, 20050 Comments

This trap can be caught from two directions. 1) Heading westbound on Gibson as you go underneath I25 and the speed limit slows drastically (to 30 or 35 I think). They sit there waiting at the abandoned gas station (?) on your right. Hard to see because of the bridge and off ramp. 2) When exiting the freeway headed southbound on I25, they’re sitting there waiting when you’re trying to merge with the speeding traffic of Gibson headed westbound. It appeared to be a laser gun they were using.

Academy Road near Concordia Road

Albuquerque, New MexicoMay 13, 20050 Comments

Just past Ventura, heading east on Academy, one or two patrol cars and usually a few motorcycles sit at the bottom of Concordia, a residential street. The speed limit there slows to 30 (ridiculus) and they get you just coming around a bend in the road. I’ve seen them ticketing four or five cars at a time there.

theres a strip mall on Juan tabo and Lomas, cops tend to sit there with all their lights off so you dont think they are in them. they do this almost everyday.
