Van Patten Drive near There is a deep gully on the road , also a few hidden areas.

Clifton Park, New YorkJun 15, 20060 Comments

The posted limit is 40MPH but as you drive down this steep gully your car naturally picks up speed and its common to be doing 50MPH by the time you get to the bottom of the gully. There is also a straight-a-way that has several areas on this road with a clear straight view. It has no traffic, no pedestrians, and no houses. So its easy to go beyond 40MPH on this road. Enforcement seems to be getting beefed up probably due to the number of people living in Country Knolls West which is a higher income area and this is widely known. The first seatbelt, sticker and registration trap was used to catch people on this quiet road. You have no way to avoid this if you want to get to work.

Kinns Road near Small Privately Owned Building

Clifton Park, New YorkJun 15, 20060 Comments

Both the Saratoga County Sheriff and the New York State Police back into a parking area which is part of a privately owned garage type building which always has a light on at night. They aim at cars coming down hill in a 45MPH area of Kinns Road. If you do over 45MPH going down hill you are caught.

Plank Road near Leads into Country Knolls South

Clifton Park, New YorkJun 15, 20060 Comments

A sheriffs car or a NY State Police car parks on the grass off of Plank Road just past the last street that turns into Country knolls south. The place where the cop car is turns out to be a downgrade so naturally any car doing 40MPH will go faster even with cruise control on. You cannot see the car even if you are looking for it. This is a regular spot since its invisble at night.

Interstate 87 near Twin Bridges

Clifton Park, New YorkJun 04, 20040 Comments

Just as you pass exit 8 southbound. there is one last road that crosses over the northway just before the twin bridges. there is a concrete structure of the overpass. the State troopers pull behind the structure so you cant see him until you actually pass him and look in your mirrors to see them. again the bridge overpass right before the twin bridges. i have seen numerous state troopers sitting there at all times of the day except morning rush hour
